緣起

Salsa原義為“醬汁”，是指在拉丁菜餚中的調味醬，包含著酸、甜、辣、鹹等各種口味。從60年代末期，Salsa便被用來形容一種流行、複雜、與多重節奏性的音樂及舞蹈，隨著時空流傳演進，也融合了各地的特色：如非洲鼓、西方管弦樂器、鄉村樂、爵士樂、流行樂等…..直到現在仍不斷兼容並蓄與變化，並在世界各地形成一股熱潮，不論你到世界各地，都可以遇見一群熱愛Salsa的朋友。

Salsa Pier是在2017年成立舞蹈教室，期望透過舞蹈教學和活動舉辦，讓更多的朋友能認識Salsa，讓充滿魅力樂趣的Salsa在高雄開枝散葉！

Salsa is a dance and a musical style with deep Caribbean and African roots. It’s very popular in almost all of Latin America and Latino communities in the United States. In recent years, this dance has also gained popularity in Europe and Asia. Maybe you’ve already seen it or even tried it yourself.
